It can be difficult to find the perfect bra size when shopping online.
If you don't know your bra size and you're local to a Lounge store, you can book a fit appointment in store with a trained bra fitting expert here.
Here’s how to measure your bra size at home in 3 easy steps:
1. Measure your band size
- Wrap the measuring tape (or string) from around your back to underneath your bust where your bra band would usually sit.
- It should fit snugly around you - not too loose and not too tight - with enough room for 2 fingers to fit underneath the tape.
- If the number you note down is an odd number, round up to the nearest even number - eg. 34, 36.
2. Measure your bust size
- Now, measure the fullest part of your bust - from the back all the way around to the nipples.
- You don’t want to pull the tape around so tightly that it squeezes you, but you want to make sure it’s nice and flat, for a more accurate measurement.
- Once you’ve got the number, make a note of it for later - you’ll need it when we come back to calculate your cup size.
3. Measure your cup size
- The difference between the band and cup measurements determines your bra size.
Cup Size = Bust Size - Band Size - A difference of less than 1 inch equals a cup size AA, 1 inch would be A, 2 inches B, 3 inches C, 4 inches D, 5 inches DD, 6 inches, E, 7 inches F, 8 inches FF, 9 inches G, 10 inches GG, etc.
For example, if your bust measurement is 34 inches and your band size is 30 inches, the difference is 4 inches, meaning your cup size will be D.
