Whether it’s your cosy apparel or favourite blazer, caring for your Lounge clothing and knitwear properly can make all the difference in keeping them soft, supportive, and beautifully fresh.
Always read the care label inside your products or consult the product description for your item for full washing instructions.
- Clothing
Washing instructions may vary between clothing styles, so please read and follow these carefully.
- Dry cleaning is the best way to protect your garments, helping to prevent common mishaps such as shrinking or colour fading.
- We understand dry cleaning can be costly, so if you choose to wash your Lounge pieces at home, we recommend using a delicate cycle at 30ºC.
- Lounge products should never be tumble-dried. The best method is to air-dry your pieces, helping them retain their shape and soft texture.
2. Knitwear
Excessive washing of knitwear can strain the delicate fibres and lead to a loss in softness.
For best results:
- Choose a gentle, low-spin cycle to prevent fabric abrasions and protect delicate details.
- Always use cold water, ideally selecting a wool or delicate cycle where possible.
- Use a mild detergent formulated specifically for delicate fabrics to maintain softness.
- Place your knitwear in a mesh laundry bag to prevent snagging, stretching, or other damage during the wash.
- Wash your knitwear only with similarly soft, delicate garments. Avoid washing with heavier items like jeans, towels, or anything with zippers or hooks that could cause pulling or pilling.
- Skip the tumble dryer - heat and friction can cause shrinkage, stretching, and fibre damage. Instead, lay your knitwear flat to air dry naturally, helping it retain its shape and softness.
