Boob tape is a strong yet flexible adhesive designed to lift, support, or shape your breasts discreetly. It's a perfect solution when a traditional bra won’t work, offering a seamless look under a backless dress, plunging neckline or sheer top. Here are some tips on how to apply our Boob Tape:
1. Do a patch test
Even if the tape is labelled as skin-safe or hypoallergenic, it’s important to test for sensitivity, especially if it’s your first time using it.
Apply a small strip to your chest a few days before wearing it. Leave it on for a few hours, then remove and check for any irritation or reaction.
2. Prep your skin
For the best hold and comfort, start with clean, dry skin.
Avoid moisturisers, oils, or any skincare products where the tape will go (these can weaken the adhesive).
3. Plan your tape placement
Before peeling off the backing, take a moment to plan where the tape will go and what effect you are after - lift, support, shaping, or coverage.
For lift: Start from beneath the bust or nipple and pull upward toward the shoulder or collarbone.
For coverage: Angle the tape across or around the chest, depending on your outfit’s design.
Once your plan is clear, cut your tape strips to size.
4. Apply and Secure
Peel off the backing, press the starting point of the tape onto your skin, and smooth it in one fluid motion toward the end point.
Use your fingers to firmly press and hold for a few seconds to activate the adhesive and lock it in place.
How To Remove Boob Tape
- Lounge recommends not wearing boob tape for more than 10 hours to ensure a clean and comfortable removal. When it’s time to take it off, gently lift a corner of the tape and slowly peel it away from the skin.
- For an even gentler removal, you can apply a bit of light oil, such as coconut or baby oil, to the taped area, let it sit for about five minutes, and then peel off the tape with ease.
It’s always a good idea to wash and moisturise the area afterwards to keep your skin calm and irritation-free.
