What is the Boob Box?
The Boob Box is an annual tour of UK universities, hosted by the Lounge Foundation in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Students who visit the Boob Box can claim a free thong, donate to the Lounge Foundation, and learn how to self-examine for the signs of breast cancer.
This is the fourth year of the Boob Box, and we’re so excited to come back to UK unis this October to raise awareness and funds for such an important cause.

In 2026, the Boob Box is visiting more universities than ever before.

12th-13th October:
University of Leeds - Lifton Place, University Precinct, Leeds, LS2 9JZ
15th-16th October:
Nottingham Trent University - Nottingham Trent Students' Union, Union Building, Shakespeare Street, Nottingham, NG1 4GH
20th-21st October:
Manchester Metropolitan University - The Union, 21 Higher Cambridge St, Manchester M15 6AD
22nd-23rd October:
Liverpool John Moores University - Student Life Building, Copperas Hill, Liverpool, L3 5AJ
26th-27th October:
University of Edinburgh - Teviot Charles Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9AJ
29th-30th October:
University of Glasgow - Memorial Gate, University Avenue, Glasgow, G12 8QQ
You don’t have to study at any of these universities to visit the Boob Box. All students can visit at any stop of the tour, regardless of where you’re studying.
What is the Lounge Foundation?
The Lounge Foundation is a registered women’s and children’s health charity brought to life by the founders of Lounge, Mel and Dan Marsden, in 2023. To find out more about the Foundation’s work, click here.
What are you offering at the Boob Box?
Every student will be able to claim 1 free thong at the Boob Box. All sizes will be available - but stock is very limited and won’t be replenished during each event, so we recommend arriving as early as possible.
How much can I donate?
As much as you’d like! Every penny of your donation will go into the hands of the Lounge Foundation and will be used to change the lives of those who need it most.
Can I return my free thong?
Unfortunately, your free thong is non-returnable and non-exchangeable.
Is there a limit to how many thongs I can claim?
Every student will be able to collect 1 thong each. Stock is very limited, so to allow as many students as possible to support the Lounge Foundation, we won’t be able to offer more than 1 thong per student.

Where does my donation go?
Every penny donated to our Feel Your Breast campaign goes directly to the Lounge Foundation, and will be used to change the lives of deserving women and children. You can read about the Foundation’s projects and achievements by clicking here.
